Downloading GW files
I know this has been posted before but I'm didn't know what terms to use for a search so I'm forced to have to post the question.
Basically I've just recently reformatted my computer and I'm in the process of reinstalling GW. Well I know that its possible to "pre-download" some of the information ahead of time that way I won't have to wait hours on end in game waiting for the files for each zone to load. I'm just wondering where I can download those files and where I have to place them so that they'll be ready to be used once I get GW reinstalled. Thx in advance! |

Add the -image switch to the end of your GW shortcut target, like this (where 'C:\Guild Wars' is whatever the proper path is on your computer):
"C:\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -image Remember to take off the switch after you finish, otherwise GW will try to download files only and never start. Last edited by PRNG; May 07, 2008 at 12:07 AM // 00:07.. |

I'd do what PRNG said. It takes a while to download all files but it's worth it, imo. For more info look in this thread. I posted a screenie here if you dont know where to add '-image'. http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10286364
